DLP module User Interface Error
Observation
During the session, it was observed that the Forcepoint DLP module encountered a UI error (Forcepoint DLP could not be launched). This issue was caused by corrupted files in the following directories:
- `%DSS_HOME%tomcat\wbsnData\`
- `%DSS_HOME%tomcat\conf\Catalina\localhost`
- `%DSS_HOME%tomcat\webapps\`
- `%DSS_HOME%tomcat\work`
- `%DSS_HOME%tomcat\logs`
- `%DSS_HOME%tomcat\temp`
- `%DSS_HOME%Data-Batch-Server\service-container\container\work`
- `%DSS_HOME%Data-Batch-Server\service-container\container\wbsnWork`
- `%DSS_HOME%Data-Batch-Server\service-container\container\logs`
Troubleshooting Steps
1. **Stopped Services**: All relevant Forcepoint services were stopped to prevent further issues and to allow for file replacement.
2. **Recreated Corrupted Files**: The corrupted files in the specified directories were recreated and replaced.
3. **Ran DLP Module and Infrastructure Repair**: Using the setup file, a repair process was run to reconnect the DLP module with the newly recreated files.
Resolution
After performing the above troubleshooting steps, the issue was resolved, and the Forcepoint DLP module was successfully launched without any errors.
